The Cuban Big Red Machine 2006 |
Cuba beat Puerto Rico 4-3 on "Boricuas" home field at Hiram Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cuba dressed in their traditional "Good Luck" "Red Uniform" clapped all night as if they were wearing their 'Rally Caps". Cuba...
Cuba walked over Puerto Rico, 4-3, to join the Dominican Republic and Korea teams in the semifinals of the World Baseball Classic. All teams are headed to San Diego's PETCO Park.
Cuba finishes the first two rounds of play with a 4-2 record. Puerto Rico (4-2) is eliminated.
I think Puerto Rico partially DIDN'T SHOW UP. Puerto Rico's Major League Wooden Bats fell short. Cuba pulled out a "Hat Trick" by getting Puerto Rico to hit into three consecutive inning ending (killing) double plays. The double plays quickly ended the 6th, 7th and eight innings. The BIG HURT came in when the eight inning ending double play left the bases loaded. Que Cosa!
